Episode 29: TCFM Tour: How my program gets life-changing results

Welcome to The Rachel Kurzyp Show.

Today I want to give you a tour of my 12-week coaching program The Creative Freedom Method. Specifically, what it’s about, why I created it, what makes it different, who it’s for and not for, what’s covered over the 12 weeks, and how you can enrol.

OK, let’s dive in.

The Creative Freedom Method is my signature program that designed to take you through the process of creating, building and launching a client-based service.

Over 12 weeks, we work together to conquer a different part of your branding, online presence, services, and content marketing strategy so you can overcome the roadblocks that have kept you from designing your signature service, attracting your dream clients, and gaining financial freedom on your own.

I first launched the program in October of 2019 and since then, over 20 people have taken the program. You can enrol in the program three times a year and I purposefully keep numbers small because I want to provide an intimate experience for my clients. And I know this is something that’s important to them.

I decided to create TCFM because I felt that the market was lacking coaches who were willing to share the strategies, frameworks and mindsets that are needed to grow a profitable and sustainable business.

Online business owners have an endless supply of free content from ebooks to mini-courses to webinars but these often do more harm than good because they share over-simplified, generic advice that often doesn’t work in practice. Raise your prices and take any client you can get at the start are perfect examples of this. If you’ve taken this advice and ended up with no clients or working 12-hour days then you know what I mean.

I didn’t want to just tell my clients what to do and then leave them to implement it on their own. Instead, I wanted to show them how to create, build and launch a signature service (and everything needed to support this) and co-create alongside them so they could get everything they needed in one place.

And when I say co-create, I mean read through all your workbooks and provide feedback, support you to test ideas, connect you with relevant people in your community and my clients favourite – help you write all your sales and marketing copy.

Which is another reason why I created TCFM. Before this, I was a marketing consultant and copywriter for hire. I offered done-for-you services for the same types of clients – multi-passionate businesswomen. The services I offered were really comprehensive and my clients loved them. However, I had got to the point in my business where I was booked out and had increased my prices to the maximum point where I was comfortable so I found myself with three options. Continue to raise my prices and work with fewer clients, hire a VA and outsource some of the work so I could take on more clients OR change my business model and move into online programs. I chose the latter because I wanted to work with more people but still on a deeper level.

So I decided to use a hybrid approach to my program creation. I created course content so that my clients could learn the core strategies + frameworks in the own time and not need me to teach it live. This gave me time to provide 1:1 coaching to my clients so I could support them to overcome anything that was holding them back for example mindset.

And then I added an additional layer of co-creation so I could provide tailored support for implementation because I like to offer a blend of coaching, consulting and teaching in all of my programs.

TCFM was originally 1:1 so I could ensure that my program was getting my clients results because I took my frameworks, process and templates that I was using in my DFY services and changed them so my clients could now do the work that I would usually do for them. This is a strategy I recommend all my clients follow when they are transitioning from DFY services into programs and courses. And I teach you how to create your own frameworks for your services inside TCFM.

Once I knew the program was getting results, I started adding community elements like coaching calls and an Instagram group. The TCFM students loved the community element so much, that I created a TCFM directory, hosted regularly coaching sessions and I’m hoping to run events for TCFM alumni later in the year.

The intake starting on May 10 now has weekly group coaching calls instead of fortnightly 1:1 calls because learning from each other was rated so high and I’ve moved the community to Facebook so that there is more accountability and opportunities to work with each other. This has also allowed me to have the time and space to create my mastermind Freedom to Scale which is designed to keep supporting TCFM students once they have completed TCFM. Again, this is something my clients asked for.

I believe the hybrid model with my unique coaching style is what makes TCFM different to other programs. I don’t believe in gatekeeping my knowledge, so when you work with me you get access to everything- my ideas, strategies, tactics and 20 years of work experience – I’ve been managing teams and working in various environments since I was 15.

And because I show up as I am, this gives my clients permission to do that too so many of them say they feel seen and heard in programs which means the world to me because the work we’re doing together requires self-trust and reflection. And sometimes I have to ask the hard questions so my clients need to feel safe to see the best results.

I also have a no-BS approach to business. And I know my clients appreciate my authenticity and honesty, they often message me months after we’ve worked together and say, “I need you to give it to me straight because I don’t believe what others are saying.” This is why the TCFM Fam has grown, it was never my intention to create it but it gets bigger and stronger after every intake, which is incredible. I could hang out with the TCFM alumni any day. They’re my people.

So TCFM is for multi-passionate business owners who fall into 1 of 2 camps. 1 – they are currently booked out or closed to booked out with b-grade clients. You know the ones; they don’t pay on time, they never do the work, they don’t know what they want and they are really time and energy demanding. Business owners in this camp, know they need to slow down and take time to reflect on what it is they want to do, who they want to help and how they want their business to support them. But they’re afraid to take a break because they feel like everything is going to fall around them. And it might because they’re exhausted and making things up as they go without any clear direction.

The second camp is a jack of all trades and is struggling to get clients consistently because they aren’t sure what’s working and what’s not. They spend all their time creating content, tweaking offers and is still deciding who their dream clients are because there doesn’t seem to be anything common between the ones they’re getting. They know they need to define their niche, simplify their services, and focus their energy on strategies that will call in their dream clients, but they are afraid to try anything else in case they lose clients and have to start the process again. This is fair because they are sitting in a cycle of constant creation instead of strategy. And this is exhausting.

Both types of clients need help to look at their business holistically so they can start growing again because right now they are stuck in a client rut and a lousy marketing cycle.

TCFM isn’t for eCommerce business or business who are at the stage where they are looking to transition into selling courses and products only. It’s also not for business owners who want a cookie-cutter approach. I’m not selling my business model or my program framework. TCFM requires you to do deep work so you can create services that will support your business to grow in a way that works for you.

This brings me to my 3-step framework for creating a profitable signature service. TCFM is broken down into 3 steps, package, position and promotion. Each step covers four weeks of the program. And the course work builds on each other.

Weeks 1-4 are all about creating your signature service.

  • Week 1 – We determine your unique strengths, skill sets and knowledge so you can set yourself apart.
  • Week 2 – Identify who your dream clients are and the problem they want to have solved so that you can provide the right solution.
  • Week 3-4 – You create a signature service that solves this exact problem. This is where you get clear on your own frameworks, set up backend processes, create templates and so on.

This step is the most important because everything else is based on this. That’s why we are constantly testing and checking our assumptions using market research.

Weeks 5-8 are all about position you as an expert in your niche.

  • Week 5 – We craft your brand story and key messages so you can attract your dream clients.
  • Week 6 – Write your sales copy so your clients will be lining up to work with you.
  • Week 7 – And improve your website to turn regular visitors into clients.
  • Week 8 – Then we create and set up a freebie to build a community interested in what you have to offer.

This step is often overlooked because my clients get impatient and want to launch their service. However, if your clients don’t know, like and trust you, then they aren’t going to buy.

Weeks 9-12 are all about marketing and creating a sales system.

  • Week 9 – We design a launch plan for your social media platforms, blog and email list so that you can grow your community.
  • Week 10- Launch your signature service in a way that has you standing out online. If you’re not ready to launch in week 10, that’s OK too. Many TCFM students launch in weeks 12-14 too. This is totally up to you.
  • Week 11 – We setup evergreen content that can be used to sell your service 24/7.
  • Week 12 – And finally in week 12, we collect glowing testimonials that show how your signature service changes lives.

This is my favourite step because everything finally comes together and nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients call in their dream clients.

While everyone’s business journey is different. You can expect similar results to past students. Like:

Kelly doubled her following, increased her prices, and started booking high-paying clients in less than 12-weeks.
Stephanie sold 20 spots in her US $595 online course off the back of 5 emails and a killer sales page.
Sophia filled her first in-person workshop and signed more interstate corporate clients as a result.
Katie realised the power of her message and is sharing her story on podcasts and speaking at events.⁣⁣
Courtney created a DYI product that 30+ people bought within 24-hours thanks to 1 sales email.
Kattie increased her rates dramatically, stopped taking low-paying gigs, and launched a mini-service to get a much-needed cash injection.
Korii streamlined her systems and processes so she could work with more clients and is now booked out 2 months in advance.

Clients also use the words confidence, clarity, proud when they talk about how they feel post-program and use phrases like life-changing, one-of-a-kind and worth every cent when they describe what they learnt. It hits me in the feels saying these words aloud.

If you’ve been listening to this and the program is speaking to you, You’re in luck. There are a few spaces left in the May intake. Enrolling is easy, head here and choose your payment plan and that’s it. Once you’ve enrolled you’ll get access to the first module focused on supporting you to create your business plan so you can start taking empowered action immediately.

And if you have any questions, you’re more than welcome to book in a 15-minute Zoom call with me. You can use this time to tell me more about you and your business so I can ensure you’re a good fit and ask me any questions about the program no matter how big or small.

We kick off on May 10. So if you’re even a little bit interested, get in touch so you don’t miss the opportunity to join us.

I hope this behind-the-scenes tour of TCFM has helped you better understand why I created the program and how it supports my clients to create life-changing results in their business and life.
