Episode 62: How to create your 90-day content plan

Welcome to The Rachel Kurzyp Show.

Today I want to support you to create a simple but effective content plan because what I see holding most of my clients back from booking their dream clients isn’t knowing what to post but when to post it.

I spend a lot of time with my coaching clients each week brainstorming content ideas, crafting posts and supporting them to schedule weeks in advance so they can focus on what matters most; building relationships and inviting their community to work with them.

So if you want your content to support the growth of your business this year, grab a pen and paper.

Before we dive in, if you aren’t already familiar with my 7 Types of Content framework then go back and listen to episode 30 where I explain what content you need to be creating if you want to become a booked out business. I’ll be referring to this framework later in this episode.

And the reason why I’ve chosen 90-days is because the online space is always changing, so you need to be ready to change and adapt with it. Also, 90 days is a good time period to see what’s working and what isn’t.

You can create your 90-day content plan in two ways.

The first way is, you look at what’s happening in your business over the next 90 days and create and schedule content that is going to support that.

So, say you’re speaking at a conference at the start of February. Leading up the event and after it, you create content that would promote your speaking opportunity.

For example, you may share some Your Story content, How-to posts related to the topic you’re speaking about, a few Inspirational posts and finally one of your Big Sell pieces to support your dream clients to buy one of your offers.

When I have a lot of things going on, this is how I schedule my content. And I find it to be really effective because I’m not splitting my time, creativity and energy on too many activities. If I’m focused on something, I feel energised by it and my community can feel that energy.

The second way is creating content in fortnightly cycles and assigning a content type to a day.

For example, the first Tuesday in the cycle is your How-To content, the first Thursday is an Inspirational post, and the Friday is Your Story.

And the following week you’ll share a Behind-The-Scenes post on Monday and so on.

This makes creating and scheduling content in batches really easy. And it ensures you’re sharing content that is going to attract your dream clients and position you as an expert in your niche.

I do this in my quiet periods or when I’m focusing on building new offers and serving my 1:1 coaching clients.

It gives me the piece of mind that my content marketing is working hard for me even if I can’t be online engaging with my community as much as I’d like.

Over time you’ll notice that certain types of content will work better for you or deliver different results. My Inspirational content gets a lot of comments. My Story content gets a lot of profile views and my Big Sell content results in DMs and drives traffic to my website.

This is great because I want my community to be comfortable engaging with me in different ways and taking different actions that support them on their journey with my business.

The type of engagement you want and what actions you need your dream clients to take will depend on your business goals, content strategy and your offer suite.

Creating easy-to-create and implement marketing strategies like this one, is just one of the reasons why my clients choose to work with me.

If you want support to show up, serve and sell in a way that feels good to you so you can become a booked out business in 2022, then I’d love to speak with you.

I have a few 1:1 coaching spots left for the first quarter of the year at the current price of $1,500 AUD per month. After these spots fill (which I gratefully expect them to do), my coaching program will be $1,800 AUD per month.

So if you’ve been wanting to work together, book in a discovery call here so we can chat through the ways I can support you to build a sustainable and profitable business.
