I'm taking my first work-free holiday in 5 years. And when I say work-free, I mean no: ❌ social media ❌ emails ❌ podcast interviews ❌ client work ❌ and hopefully, no thinking about work I believe in creating a business you don't need time away from. But the past few years have been particularly hard, and I'm emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted. Even though I've made some radical changes to my business (more on that later), I can see that what I need most is to replenish my creative well, free from work responsibilities. It's a privilege to be able to go on leave, and as someone who has had to work to survive for much of their life, it's a huge decision. Knowing what I've built won't crumble if I take time off. And trusting that slowing down is what I need to achieve my mission has allowed me to silence the voices that say this is a bad idea. I'm winding down now so that during September, I can sleep, cook, exercise in nature, read, hug Pacey and do whatever I feel like doing each day. I plan to be back in October, but I'll extend my holiday if I need longer. What this means for you: 🍹 If you're a solopreneur, the best way to work with me is inside my 1:1 coaching program. Over the last 12 months, I've found myself resisting the always-promoting-an-offer energy that is encouraged in the online space. And as a result, I've been making some changes. I've retired my entire offer suite so I can serve my clients with one signature offer. I've created my own 6 weeks on, and 6 weeks off promotional calendar, so I show up and sell in a way that honours my energy and ways of being. And I've reassessed how I create deadlines and define goals in my business with my nervous system in mind. The result? I've never felt more aligned with my mission or at ease in my business on the daily.
